Introduction
LEGOStorie is a game design and communication project developed in collaboration with LEGO, with the aim of creating an inclusive game for children with cognitive difficulties and designing a communication campaign for its launch.
The project was conceived to combine play, education, and inclusivity, promoting accessibility and cognitive well-being through a playful and engaging experience.
The project involved the design of an educational game for children with cognitive impairments, developed by the team based on user needs analysis and principles of game-based learning and inclusive design.
In parallel, a communication campaign was created for the game’s launch, built on a strategic framework derived from target analysis, key messaging, and project positioning. The intervention included the creation of visual and textual content, as well as the selection of the most appropriate communication channels to reach families, educators, and stakeholders.
The main challenge was to design an accessible and engaging game for children with different cognitive difficulties, ensuring usability, educational value, and playful engagement. At the same time, it was necessary to develop a clear and sensitive communication strategy that could highlight the project without stigmatizing the target audience, using inclusive language and channels.
The objective of the project was to develop an inclusive gaming experience and an effective communication campaign for the launch of LEGOStorie, promoting the importance of play as an educational and social tool. The project aims to raise awareness about inclusivity in game design and to position LEGOStorie as an innovative product in the educational gaming landscape, recognized both for its pedagogical value and its communication strategy.
The project resulted in the design of a prototype educational game tailored for children with cognitive difficulties, featuring inclusive mechanics and accessible interaction patterns. A complete communication strategy was developed, including key messages, visual identity guidelines, and content for digital and educational channels.
The final deliverables included game concept documentation, user journey mapping, visual and copy assets for the launch campaign, and a strategic communication plan aimed at families, educators, and institutional stakeholders.
The project demonstrates the integration of inclusive design principles with strategic communication, highlighting the role of design in fostering accessibility, education, and social impact.
